Though it rained a majority of our trip up to help the Topeka office survey crew; we stopped by to see some old friends in Independence, KS.
In 2005, John Read sold his company(United Surveyors & Associates) to Cornerstone Regional Surveying, LLC and that went until the end of 2010 and they closed shop in Tri-Lake area near Branson. We stopped in to see Bill Booe and get some section information from them if possible.
I have had many conversations on the phone with Bill but never met him in person since I had only started working for Jmark starting 2016 so it was nice to put a face with the voice.
On this particular job, we had to step back in time to run total station and ironically, it was the same unit that I used for my surveying labs for class so at least I was familiar with it.
